A bit of a vague question but I’ll try to sum it up:
The American Revolution happened When the American Colonies decided to break up from mainland Britain. This was due to growing tension between each other. Events transpired such as the Boston Massacre, and lead to a revolt with a Declaration of Independence. After a war Britain basically conceded and the colonies became the United States.
