Private goods are those as purchased and used by a consumer by their own choice. accordingly they choose to buy and consume the quantity they want.

Public goods are those as distributed by the government of the country, these basically involves the necessary goods used in survival.

As for example water consumption is controlled by government, accordingly the government decides how much water you can consume.
