Gather food and water and blanket and things that you need to survive the night or day and get under a desk, crawl in a bathtub and stay low, or go into your basement. Also avoid water and electronic equipment if it's a thunder storm because lightning can travel through electronics hope that helps!

Find a safe shelter avoiding windows, doors , and outside wall. The safest place is a basement or interior room, stairwell, or hallway on a low floor. Cover yourself with blankets or a mattress for protection. A hemet can be used for added protection against head injuries. Make sure you gather food and water. Have a radio to keep contact of the weather.
