Regulates cell growth ,survival, proliferation, differentiation and mitigation

Step-by-step explanation:

ECM or extracellular matrix is a 3D network of extracellular macromolecules i.e collagen, enzymes and glycoproteins. Cells get attached to the ECM to grow and multiply. In that way it provides support and anchorage to give the shape to the cells.

It also regulates cell behaviour i.e survival, proliferation, polarity, differention, adhesion and migration. Important for providing mechanical support for tissues i.e involved in growth mechanism, regeneration and in wound healing processes.
