The volume of the pyramid is changed by a factor of 125

Solution:

Given that, each side of a pyramid is multiplied by a factor of 5.

We have to find how will the volume of the pyramid changes?

Now, we know that, volume of a pyramid
=\frac{\text {length} * \text { breadth } * \text {height}}{3}

Now, each dimension is multiplied by factor of 5.

Then, volume of new pyramid
=\frac{(5 * l e n g t h) *(5 * \text { breadth) } *(5 * \text { height })}{3}

=5 * 5 * 5 * \frac{\text { length } * \text {breadth*height}}{3}

Volume of new pyramid = 125
* volume of old pyramid.

Hence, the volume of the pyramid is changed by a factor of 125.
