That depends on what direction he throws it.

-- If he throws it horizontally or downward, it never gets any higher than his hand.

-- If he throws it straight upward, it tops out at 45.92 meters above his hand, and then it starts falling.

-- If he throws it at some angle between horizontal and straight up, then it tops out at some height between the height of his hand and 45.92 meters higher, depending on the actual launch angle.
