to find a slope you need to choose two points on the graph or two columns on the table and you do (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

for example, on the table I picked 3,8 and 4,11

so y2 and x2 is going to be the one further ahead (doesn't have to be positive)

so (11-8)/(4-3)=3/1 and that is your slope
