Explanation :

Although basalt is very acidity due to its non calcareous nature, it is made up of grains that are so fine that they are impossible to differentiate without the aid of a microscope (that is they can't be seen with the naked eyes or even with the use of magnifying lens), but this it's features are very different from that of granite which is composed of crystals of the four particles hornblende, quartz, feldspar, mica big enough to be easily seen without a microscope.
