Explain what you would do if you looked through the microscope at your slide and did not see any light, even though the light is turned on.

You may have a dirty lense so you may have to use the cleaning soulution. also make sure the lights on LOW POWER ONLY, use the coarse focus knob to get the object into focus. If you cannot see anything, move the slide slightly while viewing and focusing. If nothing appears, reduce the light and repeat step.
