Maria has type B blood. She can safely receive blood transfusions from people with blood types O and B. What is the probability that a randomly chosen American can
donate blood to Maria?

44% chance she will get blood types O and B because if it is 0.41 or 41% for type O blood and 0.03 or 3% for type B blood then added together would get 0.44 or 44% chance.
