x = quarters
y = dimes
x + y = 40
25x + 10y = 760
25x + 10(40 - x) = 760
25x + 400 - 10x = 760
15x + 400 = 760
15x = 360
x = 24
y = 16
Rob has 24 quarters and 16 dimes
