In your own words what does superstition mean?

Something mythical or a lucrative belief, that if one commits a certain act or a turn of events occurs it’ll have absurd result.

Example:
Breaking a mirror- 7 years of bad luck
Black Cats - bring bad luck
Walking underneath stairs, so on and so forth.

Superstition cam be described as people's cultural anxieties or illogical fears that people believe in and abide to. For example, people avoid opening umbrellas in houses because they have heard that it brings bad luck.
