2=n-(2n+3)

pretend that there is a -1 in front of the bracket

2=n-1(2n+3)

multiply the bracket by -1

(-1)(2n)=-2n

(-1)(3)=-3

2=n-2n-3

2=-n-3

move -3 to the other side

sign changes from -3 to +3

2+3=-n-3+3

2+3=-n

5=-n

multiply both sides by -1 to get +n

5(-1)=-1(-n)

n=5(-1)=-5

Answer:

n=-5
