Answer: Yes.

Explanation: Because they were under the British rule, so that had many negative effects on them. They could not have decisions, politic power. They were rich people, but once the British rule happened, they became lost and slaves.

British rule had some positive effects too, but the most significant effects are the negatives, because Indians became slaves of British people, and their economy was almost lost.
