Sir Francis Bacon and Rene Descartes were responsible for developing the five step scientific theory during the scientific revolution.

Explanation:

During the 16th century, many philosophers and thinkers promoted the scientific approach and proposed that the ones who seek truth can rely on science.

It was during this period that Sir Francis Bacon of England came up with the theory of 'Scientific Method' which was later deemed to be standard for all the scientific operations.

In this theory, he gave to the world the five steps that every scientific study should be carried out by. Descartes had taken very crucial role in developing mathematical formulas and physical indication during this time.
