2) 21/2 = 10 1/2

Explanation:

1) We have 2 2/3 * 9, to solve this we have to know that in multiplications we multiply the numerator from the first fraction times the numerator from the second fraction, and the denominators are multiplied too.

We also know that 2 2/3 = 8/3, because we multiply 2 times the denominator and then we add that result plus the numerator.

So now we have:

8/3 * 9 = 72/3 = 24

2) We do the same thing than in problem 1.

We have -4 1/2 * -2 1/3, so first we change them:

-4 1/2 = -9/2 and -2 1/3 = -7/3, so we have:

-9/2 * -7/3 = 63/6 = 21/2 = 10 1/2

3) We have 1/3 ÷ 5/6, to divide we can flip the second fraction and just solve it as a multiplication:
