Answer:

In the primary successions the first plants that came to colonize are small like mosses and lichens. They grow in substrates with shallow depth and little organic matter. They favor the arrival of herbs. If the community continues to evolve we could germinate the seeds of shrub species and eventually the trees would grow giving rise to forests.
