Simplify both sides of the equation.

2+-z=5

-z+2=5

Subtract 2 from both sides.

-z+2-2=5-2

-z=3

Divide both sides by -1

-z = 3

-1 = -1

z=-3

I’m pretty sure the answer is 3 because the z stands for a missing number so 2+3=5
