What chemical laws do we assume when back-titrating?

The most commonly studied titration experiment is an acid-base titration. In an acid-base titration, a known acid can be added to an unknown base until the pH of the reactant is exactly 7. Another type of titration experiment, known as redox titration, reaches an endpoint based on a solution's oxidation levels.
