Explain how you decide whether the final answer to a multiplication problem is

positive or negative. What if there are more than two numbers (i.e. -2*-3*-1*1)? Be

Regardless of the number of factors, the product will be negative if an odd number of factors are negative.

In the example, 3 of the factors are negative. 3 is an odd number so the product will be negative.

-2*-3*-1*1 = -6
