What is the definition of rule of law

Rule of law says that nobody is above the law, not even the president. Whoever doesn’t follow it must be punished ( I don’t mean this cruelly lol).

Rule of law also protects us from tyranny.

Btw, the United States Constitution is the supreme law of the land.
