3x - 12 ≤ - 6 or 3x - 12 ≥ 6

3x - 12 ≤ - 6 ( add 12 to both sides )

x ≤ 2

OR

3x - 12 ≥ 6 ( add 12 to both sides )

3x ≥ 18 ( divide both sides by 3 )

x ≥ 6

Solution is x ≤ 2 OR x ≥ 6
