The separation of powers are an act of vesting the legislative,executive and judicial powers of government in separate bodies. Checks and balances are a counterbalancing influence by which an organization or system is related. The Checks and balances also the separation of powers are related by separation of powers is called checks and balances because the branches can check on each other.
