Then, with the invention of the railroad, they could transport these goods to every part of the United States. Also, when industries began using 'mass production', a huge amount of goods and products could be made to satisfy the entire population and this in consequence produced more trade (and wealth). Other examples of significant inventions include: the radio (improved communication), the car and electricity.
