could someone help me please asap! the question says “The amounts of plastic waste generated in a region during two years were 32,400,000 tons and 20,300,000 tons. What was the total plastic wasted generated over these two years in the region, EXPRESSED IN SCIENTIFIC NOTATION.

ok add them together to get 52700000

to write it in scientific notation move a decminal number from the zeros and stop before you pass the last number so 5.2700000 , remove the 0s and write x 10 to the power of how many numbers you passed with the decimal, so 5.27 x 10 ^ 7 is your answer
