Answer:

a) y= 0.65x

b) 2000

Explanation:

a) If x=the number of students who are offered admission to the university and y =the number of students who actually enroll the ratio y/x= 65/100

So if we multiply both sides by x, we will get y=0.65 x

b) If y= 0.65x and we want y= 1300, replace this into the equation , then we have
(1300)/(x) = 0.65

Then x=
(1300)/(0.65), that is x= 2000
