Compare the various motivations for establishing the colonies. How well did the colonies achieve their original purpose or have to adapt to unexpected situations in the New World?

With the discovery of New World by Christopher Columbus led in the triumph in Europe with a zeal for establish colonies and gaining wealth. England sends settlers to the New World for the propose of gaining wealth. Later with the coming of the Quakes and Puritans settlers and establishing colonies motivated the others reformers to settle in America. Some others came to escape war, while others came for land and to start a new life from the beginning.

In the beginning, the colonies grew to form in the harsh environment with the Native Indians surrounding them. But the peace did not last as the settlers began to increase which threatened the lands of the native Indians.
