(5r+2)(3r-4)

mutiply both sides together

(5r)(3r)= 15r^ 2

(5r)(-4)= -20r

(2)(3r)= 6r

(2)(-4)= -8

15r^2-20r+6r-8

Answer: 15r^2-14r-8

Answer:

(5r+2)(3r-4)= 15r^(2)-14r-8

Explanation:

The given expression is

(5r+2)(3r-4)

To find the product of this expression, we have to use the distributive property, which is developed as follows

5r(3r)-5r(4)+2(3r)-2(4)

As you can observe, this property consists in "distributing" the first factor to the second factor. Now, we solve each product and then like terms.

15r^(2)-20r+6r-8\\ 15r^(2)-14r-8

Therefore, the product is

(5r+2)(3r-4)= 15r^(2)-14r-8
