Answer: They are equivalent, and x = -4/7

Explanation:

Fist we need to see what the answers to each of these equations are

7 + 5x = 3 - 2x

Subtract 7 on each side

5x = -4 - 2x

Add 2x

7x = -4

X = -4/7

Now the second one

7 + 7x = 3

Subtract 7

7x = -4

X = - 4/7

They are equal and x = -4/7
