The people of Greco-Roman time flocked to the temples of Imhotep because he was the God of medicine to them.

The chancellor of Egyptian pharaoh Djoser, Imhotep was worshipped as the God of medicine after his death. The traces about his healing abilities were found from Thirtieth Dynasty.

Imhotep’s statues were built by Greco-Roman people as they believed in his healing power. Those people flocked in his temple in order to heal their sickness. Some cults were performed with his statue that it gave him the position of a God.
