What are reservations, in regards to Native American tribes?​

Basically it was a piece of land the Indians were forced to move to after Americans took the land from them. Some reservations the Indians were even forced to agree to move to. For example Most Cherokee were forced to move to a Reservation in oklahoma. many still reside there
