Difference between the political systems in ancient Rome and ancient Greece:

Ancient Greece:

  • Ancient Greece was more committed to democratic ideals.
  • Ancient Greece used to follow a common system for Greek government as Democracy, Monarchy, Oligarchy, Tyranny.
  • The government which Ancient Greece followed was Republic, Parliamentary system and constitutional republic.
  • Democracy was first derived from the "Greek word demos" which explains the whole citizen body.

Ancient Rome:

  • Ancient Rome consisted of Oligarchy, Autocracy, Theocracy and Absolute monarchy sort of government.
  • The roman Republic is famous for classical Roam civilization which began to over throw the Roman Kingdom.
