Daryll has a piece of manila paper 48cm long and 36cm wide.She wants to cut it into squares,thr biggest possible,sothat there is no wasted material.What is the biggest possible square that she can make? How many of that square can be cut

Answer: There could be 12 largest possible squares cut from paper.

Explanation:

Since we have given that

Length of paper = 48 cm

Width of paper = 36 cm

We need to cut it into squares,thr biggest possible,sothat there is no wasted material.

So, H.C.F. of 48, and 36 = 12

So dimension of each square woul be 12 cm

So, Area of paper = 48×36 = 1728 sq. cm

Area of square = 12 × 1 2 = 144 sq. Cm

So, Number of largest square formed from paper = 1728 ÷ 144 = 12

Hence, there could be 12 largest possible squares cut from paper.
