Explanation:

u = - 27.7 m/s

v = - 10.9 m/s

s = - 105 m

By using the formula, s = 1/2 (u + v)t

-105 = 1/2 (-27.7-10.9)t

-105 = 1/2 (-38.6)t

-105 = - 19.3t

-105/-19.3 = t

t = 5.44s

a = (v - u)/t

a = (-10.9 - (-27.7))/ 5.44

a = 16.8/5.44

a = 3.088 m/s²
