My brother and I found old letters in our attic. My mother said they belonged to our grandmother. She wrote them to our grandfather when he was away at war.

Is this an example of a Primary Source or a Secondary Source? How do you know?

I have chose primary source to be the answer. Check out the definition of "primary source." secondary wouldn't make sense here.
