Answer: a) B would get 904 sweets.

b) There are 1582 sweets in total.

Explanation:

Since we have given that

Ratio of share of bag of sweets in A, B, and C is given by 4:8:2.

Number of sweets A received = 452

Since part of sweets A would get =
(4)/(14)=(2)/(7)

So, it becomes


(2)/(7)x=452\\\\x=(452* 7)/(2)\\\\x=1582

so, B would get


(8)/(14)* 1582\\\\=904

Hence, a) B would get 904 sweets.

b) There are 1582 sweets in total.
