The Stamp Act was a law passed by the British government in 1765. It meant that all legal documents and printed papers used in the American colonies had to have an official stamp
The British Parliament passed the Tea Act in May 1773. It reinforced a tea tax in the American colonies. The act also allowed the British East India Company to have a monopoly on the tea trade there. This meant that the American colonists were not allowed to buy tea from any other source.
The Boston Tea Party was a protest by the American Colonists against the British government. They staged the protest by boarding three trade ships in Boston Harbor and throwing the ships' cargo of tea overboard into the ocean. They threw 342 chests of tea into the water.
The Townshend Acts of 1767 were a series of laws imposed by the British Parliament which set new import taxes on commodities imported from Great Britain.
