a. Sequential-our sequence does have an order to it.

b. Discrete-our sequence isn't continuous; example: it doesn't consist of the numbers between 1 and 2.

c) Geometric-our sequence would have to have a common ratio. It doesn't; example: the ratio for the second term to the first term is 2/1=2 but the ratio from the third term to the second is 3/2=1.5. So there is no common ratio which means this sequence is not geometric.

d) arithmetic-our sequence does have a common difference. The common difference is 1 since taking a term and subtracting from it the previous term always gives you 1; examples: 2-1=3-2=4-3=5-4.

Second Problem:

I'm pretty certain we are suppose to image r is the common ratio. This means the next term can be generated by multiplying it's previous term by r, the common ratio.

So the first term is 2.

The second term would be 2(2.25)=4.5 .
