A football is kicked vertically upward from a height of 22 feet with an initial speed of 7575 feet per second. The formula h equals 2 plus 75 t minus 16 t squaredh=2+75t−16t2 describes the ball's height above the ground, h, in feet, t seconds after it was kicked. Use this formula to find the ball's height 22 secondsseconds after it was kicked. The ball's height, 22 secondsseconds after it was kicked, was 3131 feet.

Answer:

time, t = 22seconds

height from kick, h = 22 + 75t -16t^2...eq1

subst for t = 22 in eq1

=> h = 22 + 75(22) - 16(22^2)

=> h = 22 + 1650 - 7744 = -6072ft

since h is negative it means ball is on the ground
