Eyewitnesses can usually mix up their facts, and confuse their thoughts/ imagination with reality. Not only that, but people tend to be extremely biased and can alter their knowledge with other facts to help a convict out. And in multiple cases, eyewitnesses' accounts didn't match up and officials couldn't get the real truth. People are also some big fat liars as well, soooooo.
