So, the population after 100 years,


A=4.3(1+(r)/(100))^(100)

According to the question,

A = 5.2 billion,


\implies 5.2 = 4.3(1+(r)/(100))^(100)

By the graphing calculator,


\implies r = 0.19\%

If the initial population is 5.2 billion,

Then the population after 100 years,


A=5.2(1+(0.19)/(100))^(100)


=6.28696444394
