Note that if
i^2=-1 than
i=√(-1),

Also note that
√(ab)=√(a)√(b)

So we have,


√(-49)=√(-1)√(49)=\boxed{7i}

and,


√(-4)=√(-1)√(4)=\boxed{2i}
