Explanation:

First find the probability on the first roll

The possible results are 1,2,3,4,5,6

evens: 2,4,6

not 2 = 1,3,4,5,6

P(even)= number of evens/total = 3/6 = 1/2

P (not 2) = number of results not 2/ total = 5/6

Since the rolls are independent (do not depend on each other), we can multiply the probabilities

P(even, then not 2) = 1/2 * 5/6 = 5/12
