In his speech "I Have A Dream," Martin Luther King Jr. dreams of a country in which racism is inexistent. This would be a country where every person is judged by who they are, and the value that they can add to society, and not by their skin colour. This would mean that all people, regardless of their race or their origin, would be able to grow happily in the country and access the same opportunities everyone else has.
Although minorities have better opportunities nowadays than they did in the 1960s, the dream that Martin Luther King Jr. dreamed about has not been achieved. Race is still a contentious issue in America, and people of different races continue to receive a different treatment in society.
