First of all, ''context'' refers to social, religious and economic variables, that's why they must be included in every social event that's being analysed, because all these variables influence one on another. For example, economy is influenced by religion due to the perception it gives it (rich are mean and poor are spiritual).

On the other hand, social behaviour and events are defined by other circumstances like religion because it was set a bunch of rules of proper human behaviour according to sacred scriptures.

So, at the end, interpreting history becomes a really difficult activity because is a multi variable science.
