To find the zeros set the equation equal to zero:

x^2 - 5x +4 = 0

Factor:

(x-4) (x-1) = 0

Now solve each set of parenthesis so that they equal zero:

(x-4) = 0, x =4

(x-1) = 0, x = 1

The zeros are 1,4
