Yes! If you are talking to someone you can tell them to slow down that’s not rude to do at all. I also have another tip for people who stutter. Visualize the words you're going to say before you say them. This is hard to master, but it really helps. If you can imagine words, you claim them and it'll be harder for them to slip into a stutter. If you cannot imagine it, they can't be yours. Have a clear mental picture of what you want to say.
