How did the invention of the cotton gin affect the demand for labor to grow and harvest cotton?

The cotton gin made it easier to take out all of the seeds in the cotton, so that more cotton could be sold quicker. If there's more demand for something, they would want more of it.

The reliable invention helped produce more of the product quickly. Since it could be done so quickly, the demand was higher. Cotton was very useful, but people didn't use it much before the Cotton Gin because the process took more time.

Since a quicker way was discovered, many people hopped on the idea and demanded more, so they could produce more wanted products.
