How long is the term of service for a supreme court justice

Answer:

A supreme court justice is appointed by the President of the United States and than approved by Congress. The Supreme Court Justice than holds this position for as long as he or she deems fit. It could be for life and many do or more recently Supreme Court Sandra Day O'Connor retired to spend more time with her family.
