Explanation:

This is a difference of cubes which factors in general as

a³ - b³ = (a - b)(a² + ab + b²)

8x³ = (2x)³ ⇒ a = 2x

27 = 3³ ⇒ b = 3

Hence

8x³ - 27

= (2x)³ - 3³

= (2x - 3)( (2x)² + (2x × 3) + 3²)

= (2x - 3)(4x² + 6x + 9)
